Learn more about the definitions of LISN and V-LISN terminology:LISN-Linear impedance stabilization network
The V-LISN can measure asymmetrical disturbance voltages between (L1 - Ground) or (L2 - Ground) for a single single-phase power supply, as well as between (Positive - Ground) or (Negative - Ground) for a DC power supply.
V-LISN is also known as V-ANM (Artificial Power Network).V-LISN is the most commonly used LISN for EMC test requirements.
There are two types of V-LISNs with different impedances. the V-LISN with an inductance of 5 µH (CISPR 16-1-2, CISPR 25, ISO 7637, DO 160) is typically used for measurements on vehicles, ships, and aircraft equipment connected to DC or 400 Hz on-board power supplies. Another type of V-LISN with 50 µH is expected to operate at a power supply frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz according to CISPR 16-1-2, MIL STD 461 and ANSI C63.4.
