MDS 21B Schwarzbeck EMI power absorption pliers

Introduction：

MDS 21B is an EMI power absorption clamp produced by SCHWARZBECK in Germany and authorized by Shenzhen EUTTEST for sales. The frequency range can reach 30MHz-1GHz. It can be used for electromagnetic power measurement in GB 4343.1 and CISPR14-1 electromagnetic compatibility standards for household appliances, power tools and similar appliances.

Test application instructions：

Before the introduction of this EMI absorption clip, most EMI (radio interference) measurements had to be performed in an open field for antenna testing (for example, in an open area at a distance of 10 meters, there are no reflective obstacles) for field strength measurement. This means that the test requirements are very high and it is very susceptible to weather conditions.

Now with the MDS 21B power absorption clamp fixture, EMI testing has become simple and can be used for EMI testing of household electrical equipment and power tools (VDE 0875, 0877 Part 3, the tested equipment EUT or interference source is placed on the end of a 6-meter wooden table, the power cord (plus an extension cord to 6m)Pass through the gap of the MDS clamp, and then connect the output port of the power absorbing clamp to the quasi-peak EMI receiver. The absorbing clamp can slide along the power cord on the wooden table until the EMI receiver shows the maximum value, which means the highest vhf power. CISPR 16-1-3 recommends using a 6 dB fixed attenuator directly connected to the RF output of the fixture to improve measurement accuracy.
