Introduction：
The AK 9540B is a 40 GHz RF coaxial cable manufactured by schwarzbeck in Germany and authorized for sale by EUTTEST in Shenzhen in customized lengths.The AK 9540 B offers low losses in the frequency range up to 40 GHz. It is flexible enough to cope with changing cable geometries and more than 500 duty cycles. 9540B cable's inner conductor consists of 19 silver-plated copper wires, each 0.2 mm in diameter, with a low-loss dielectric made of extruded LD (low-density) PTFE, and the outer conductor consists of two layers: a silver-plated copper foil and silver-plated copper braid, with the inner contact for RF signal propagation of the 2.92 mm RF connector made of gold-plated copper braid, and the inner contact for RF signal propagation made of gold-plated copper braid. The 2.92 mm RF connector's inner contact for transmitting RF signals is made of gold-plated copper-beryllium alloy, and the connector's outer contact for grounding is made of stainless steel.

This cable is used more frequently and it is generally not recommended to use very long cables for testing. As you can see from the graph below, the cable attenuates as much as 8.5dB at a 3 meter length, compared to only 3dB at a 1 meter length.
