In accordance with the above standards, Schwarzbeck’s artificial hand consists of a copper foil simulating a human hand and an RC series circuit. It can be used in EMC laboratories for small household appliances and other household electronics to simulate the capacitive coupling between the device under test and a human hand during normal operation. Typical products include handheld electric mixers, electric drills, telephones, and mobile phones with keypads or joysticks, among others. When used in conjunction with the company’s V-LISN test equipment, you can mount the simulated hand directly onto the LISN port.

Usage Profile:

According to the conducted immunity test requirements, the Artificial Hand must be used in conjunction with the V-LISN and the EMI receiver to form a test system. The Artificial Hand must be attached to the part of the product most likely to be touched by a human hand, as shown in the figure below:
