ETS 3159C Biconical Antenna Introduction:

The ETS 3159C Biconical Antenna is a broadband, linearly polarized biconical antenna manufactured by ETS-Lindgren in the U.S.A. and authorized for sale by EUTTEST. 3159 Biconical Antennas have a wide beamwidth and are specifically designed to handle up to 10 kW of input power to produce high electric field strengths over large, uniform areas. generate high electric field strengths over large uniform areas.

Unlike high-capacity capacitively loaded log-periodic dipole antennas typically used in this frequency range, the phase center/source distance is the same for both low and high frequencies. This ensures high field strengths at frequencies as low as 30 MHz.The Type 3159 design takes advantage of the wide beamwidth capabilities of the biconical antenna, which is optimized to provide low VSWR and high radiation efficiency.

An optional pulley base is available for horizontal and vertical antenna polarization, height and tilt angle adjustment. Cylinders are used to change polarization and can be remotely controlled using the optional controller.
