Introduction:
IGUU 2918 is an impulse calibration signal generator produced by Schwarzbeck, Germany and authorized to be sold by EUTTEST in Shenzhen, China. This signal generator is specially designed for calibrating the impulse response characteristics of EMI measurement receivers according to the requirements of Section 7.4 of the CISPR16-1-1 standard, and provides a calibration method that includes amplitude relationship calibration and repetition frequency calibration functions of EMI receivers. The enhanced IGUU 2918 provides a main generator and an auxiliary generator for pulse frequencies from 0.1 Hz to 1 MHz (band C/D), as well as a repeat frequency calibration function.
Calibratable EMI receiver detector:
- QP - Quasi-Peak Detector
- AV - Average Detector
- PK - peak Peak Detector
- True RMS True RMS Detector
Calibratable frequency bands:
This generator can be used for Bands A, B, C, D ( 9 kHz - 1000 MHz ) test requirements as required by CISPR 16.

The IGUU 2918 can test all the detectors in an EMI receiver and additional True RMS detectors, rotary encoders and matrices - the display is used for pulse frequency and amplitude (mains generator only) tuning and reading, and the new keypad allows to enter directly the desired frequency and amplitude, the pulse frequency is taken from the DDS-IC.
The optional coaxial switching unit KU 9618 can connect one of the four outputs to an EMI receiver. This makes testing very easy and saves time, as testers no longer need to waste time manually changing coaxial connections.
The unit also provides a GPIB communication interface that allows testers to send GPIB commands to the 2918 generator to control it for testing all functions, for which you currently need to configure schwarzbeck's test software option: Opt. RecTest Softw.Automated testing is possible.

This equipment is complex to operate, please contact EUTTEST for training related information. Training is not available for equipment not sold by our company.
When you shop for an automated test configuration, you need to configure the test software and the generator host.
When you purchase only the generator mainframe, you need to manually calibrate and test the EMI receiver and take readings to calculate and analyze the data.EUTTEST offers on-site installation and training services for manual and automated testing of the IGUU 2918.The
