Product Description:

KEMZ 801B is an electromagnetic clamp manufactured by TESEQ, a sub-brand of AMETEK-CTS, which complies with the requirements of IEC/EN 61000-4-6 and the latest version of the GB/T17626.6 conducted immunity test method. This electromagnetic clamp adopts an open design, any unshielded communication interconnection cable can be placed inside the clamp, which can be coupled and injected into the cable without changing the working condition of the product RF conducted interference signals.

Electromagnetic clamp test method description:

IEC 61000-4-6 (EN 61000-4-6) defines three basic types of transducers used to inject test signals into the equipment under test (EUT), including the CDN method, the electromagnetic clamp method, and the current clamp method, with the basic requirement being to inject a known level of RF signals into the cables of the EUT at each test frequency and to determine whether the EUT continues to function properly. To do this, the auxiliary equipment (AE) must be decoupled from the test signal, and without the decoupling process, it is difficult to know if any faults are due to a failure of the EUT or AE. While coupling/decoupling networks (CDNs) are one of the best ways to accomplish this test, and in some cases it is true that they must be used, it is not always possible to use CDNs, for example, a product's interconnecting cable signal lines would be simpler to test using the electromagnetic clamp or current clamp method, and the test process would not require shaving your product's communication cables.
