The CDN CAN-4 is a CAN line coupling and decoupling network-CDN product from schwarzbeck, Germany, which meets the requirements of IEC 61000-4-6, IEC 61326-3-2 and NAMUR NE21 and is ideally suited for injecting common-mode interference signals into the coupling of the power and control lines of the Device Under Test (DuT) and for decoupling the AE terminals. In practice, the CAN transceiver's common-mode voltage range is limited due to the type of CAN signals that have a DC component on the signal and therefore no transformer can be used, which results in very poor immunity to interference due to the CAN transceiver's high input impedance when the CAN line is viewed in isolation. However, the immunity of the whole system is much better because the power line following the CAN line provides a low impedance path to ground. To reproduce this on the test bench, euttest will CDN T2(for data cables) and CDN AF2(for power lines) are combined into one device to couple all the lines, so the new CAN-4 is created. this CDN can also be used for other communication systems using unshielded cables and differential input amplifiers. if the power and signal lines of your product are to be wired separately, the two CDNs mentioned above must be used individually. the rf frequency response of this CDN is 10kHz to 230 MHz.
