10-bit vertical resolution

The RTB2000 views small signal details superimposed on large signals. The oscilloscope uses a customized 10-bit analog-to-digital converter designed by Rohde & Schwarz, which improves waveform accuracy by a factor of four compared to a conventional 8-bit analog-to-digital converter. The higher the resolution, the clearer the waveform, which in turn reveals more signal detail that might otherwise be overlooked. For example, when measuring the characteristics of a switching power supply, it is necessary to simultaneously measure the voltage when the switching device is turned on and off in a single capture. To accurately measure the small voltage portion, the resolution must be higher than 8 bits.

1 mV/div: full measurement bandwidth and low noise

The R&S®RTB2000 oscilloscope has excellent sensitivity down to 1 mV/div. Conventional oscilloscopes can only achieve this level of input sensitivity by using software to amplify or limit the bandwidth. Even at 1 mV/div, the R&S®RTB2000 oscilloscope displays the actual sampling point of the signal over the entire measurement bandwidth. This ensures high measurement accuracy.

The accuracy of the signals shown on the screen depends on the inherent noise of the oscilloscope.The R&S RTB2000 oscilloscope uses a low-noise front-end and advanced analog-to-digital converters to enable accurate measurements even with minimal vertical resolution.
