Instrument Functions:
The EMTEST ACS 500N series EMC test equipment delivers perfectly stable sine wave voltage signals for harmonic and flicker measurements, enabling fully compliant harmonic and flicker analysis regardless of grid supply frequency or voltage stability. In accordance with IEC standards, measuring harmonics and flicker requires supplying a pure voltage to the EUT. The ACS500N guarantees a sine wave output voltage with a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) below 0.5% regardless of load. Furthermore, the voltage maintains stability at 0.1% even during load variations.
Regardless of grid supply conditions, the ACS 500N meets stringent standards for sine wave voltage signal purity and frequency stability. With power ratings of 3,000VA or 6,000VA, it is suitable for testing small to medium power devices under test (DUT) according to EN/IEC 61000-3-2, EN/IEC 61000-3-3, and JIS C 61000-3-2 standards.
Additionally, this AC voltage source features electronic protection capabilities to prevent over-temperature, over-current, over-voltage, and under-voltage conditions.
When used with the EMTEST DPA 500 series harmonic and flicker analyzer, the ACS 500N enables fully remote automated test control via the net.control software on a host computer through the RS232 interface on its rear panel.

When your product requires a maximum continuous current of 12A, select ACS500N3+. DPA 500N
When your product requires a continuous current of up to 16A to 24A, select ACS500N6+. DPA 500N1.1
