Introduction:

Unlike current injection probes, current monitoring probes are mainly used for current method testing of conducted emissions to comply with the following EMC standards which already require testing of the CE current method Of course, you can also use current probes to look for problems such as radiated emissions, as EUTTEST offers current probes that can test up to 1GHz.

Introduction to basic usage:

The current monitoring probe produced by FCC is sometimes simply called current probe, its basic principle is that when the current probe wraps all the EUT cables for testing, because of the existence of the conductive common-mode interference signals on the DUT cables, the high-frequency current on the cables will be coupled by our current monitoring probe, and then transmitted to the EMI test receiver through the 50 Ω coaxial cable, and finally get the complete spectrum of the interference current. We can use this test result to evaluate whether the high-frequency interference released by the EUT during normal operation is within the limits required by the above EMC test standards.
